  • Thanks bro for posting things! I'm actually in the market to buy a 2005 C230 with the 1.8L engine. Has yours been good to you? Problems? Issues? I test drove one and can't stop thinking about it.

    Thanks again!

  • @incredibleblt Hey there, sorry for the delayed reply! I recently sold my C230 (as the miles were starting to get a bit high) and miss it like crazy already. I do long drives and started working for Toyota and bought a Solara, but miss the peppyness of my benz. The only problems I had were a few O2 sensors, and a cylinder misfire - and they are a bit of an electrical mess sometimes. Definitely recommended though if you want a fun little car with a three pointed star on the bonnet.

  • because of this video i decided to save some money and go with the 7400 model.

  • @DavidOv54367 Glad this helped you make that decision!

  • awesome video! how long does the inserting hose have to be for a MB C230, I have a 48 inch hose, would that work? and How long is the mytivac inserting hose? thanks!!

  • @albertoarcea36 48" will probably work, but you may only have a foot left hanging out the tube. The tubes for the Mityvac are fairly long, I assume around 72".

  • The mittvac its good but if want to remove the o-ring on the filter housing best tools for 4ps pick tool kit. Thanks

  • I'm looking into buying a used 05 model. Is this the only way to change the oil? Isn't there a drain bolt like every other car? I usually do my own maintenance and I've never worked on a MB.

  • @handsomebassman Thanks for the advice! Can I ask how many miles you had on your when you decided to give up? I actually called me mechanic about a 05 C230 Kompressor and he highly recommended the car. It's no Honda, but in his words, it's one of the lowest maintenance foreign cars out there. Hoping to find the right one for myself soon...

Thanks again for the video post!

  • Excellent tutorial. And what a combination, Mercedes Benz and Wayne Shorter!!
