Thanks Man. Looking forward to it. I meant to add before that J.O'K was a great fan of New Orleans music and recorded Oop-poo-pah-doo (twice), Come On, Go To the Mardi Gras, Mockingbird, I'm in Love Again, Ain't That a Shame and New Orleans among others...

Thanks so much for posting J.O'K. I think it is a great version of Chuck Wiilis's song and I'll check it out shortly. Glad I could be of service! O'Keefe had an amazingly tumultuous life and there is a great new DVD on him called The Wild One - well worth checking out.

@MegaGravyboy Check it out in about 14 hours. I've lost it and didn't have it tagged correctly to find it on my hard drive. Have to put the whole thing together again. I will send you a copy as soon as it's up.

Thanks 9thWardJukebox Yes I knew about Marchan and the Clowns and have just ordered a CD of this material. The songs used to be sung on Australian TV in the sixties by Johnny O'Keefe (Don't you just know it and Rockin' Pneumonia). O'Keefe had a regional hit in the New Orleans area with It's Too Late in about 1959. I love Marchan's voice and the emotion in his articulation.

@MegaGravyboy Dude, I forgot all about that song from Johnny O'Keefe. Thanks to you, you jolted my brain cells and I just got to here here it again for the first time in like (OMG!!!!!) 50 years! There's a bunch of his stuff up on Youtube. I just watched Sing, Sing Sing where he does it live. I see where he really had a sad and a very premature ending to his life. Unless I run into a copyright issue, I will post "It's Too Late" tomorrow. Thanks for the great info!

Bobby Marchan - under-rated and brilliant! Never does anything but his very best. Much appreciated down here in Australia.

@MegaGravyboy Hey down there! Not many folks know that he did leads on some of the most famous tunes for Huey Smith and The Clowns. And you are quite right....Marchan is very under-rated.
