Looks awesome, doesn't it?

Also, the music's been muted by youtube. Just play your favorite song, as I can't find anything worth listening to with the audioswap feature.

  • Hi, me and 2 friends got inspired by your video and wants to build a similar optical tweezer! We just wonder if its anyway to make it with a less expensive laser? (a green one) we're aware though that the aixiz lens only works with red light? Also, is it color from the sharpie that you trap or is it plastic from the cork? Grateful for any answer!

  • All you really need is a somewhat powerful laser >50mW and a lens with an extremely short focal length.

  • thats sweet! i might try it tomorrow! i have a snow day today and tomorrow! :)

  • cool!

  • so basicly it is a laser focused on one point with a lens, is that correct?

And that glowing dot above is just the point where all the light is focused and you practicly see the air(and/or dust/smoke) glowing?

  • WDF?!

  • sorry, I didn't know you knew lasers well, it's just many people think "well the hell with limitting, it gives light it works"

Happy to know you're not the kind

I usually know my way arround lasers but i will surely check out your forum

Have a nice day and happy lasing :)

  • Haha, are you kidding me? Of course I used current limiting... There is no way to install a diode into a Kryton WITHOUT a proper driver.

BTW, If you ever need any help with lasers just look me up on laserpointerforums(com) my forum name is "amkdeath"

  • you didn't use current limitting on it :)

  • Awesome!

But it sucks that your laser died.

  • so i did it, and it was preety kewl. I did it with a 250mW open can DIY in a Kryton v1, and it was cool to see.

    Then before my very eyes my 250mW beast turned to an LED all of a sudden ]-;

sigh... was cool while it lasted
