I guess you might be what's called an "Innocent victim" there. Pleasing escape though. When paying for the damage later, always remember to console yourself with the words "that's motor racing". Whoever invented that phrase had a very ironic sense of humour.

Yeah, tell me about it. Only saving grace was that there was no solid object, therefore the damage was restricted to bodywork, rather than chassis. The bill hurt more than the crash.
