@odditiesonearth Let me know how you like it! I eat them for breakfast!

For breakfast, I saute them in a little butter til heated through & enjoy them with eggs and rice or grits. This reminds me of when I crushed bacon into my grits as a child ... love how the saltiness seasons grits or rice. We enjoy salmon in fried egg sandwiches ... hmmm, sardines could work there and in egg salad pita as well. Must try your sandwich recipe ... that literally is an egg SALAD sandwich (very healthy)! ;-)

One of my favorite foods in Spain was grilled sardines...the bones might put some people off, but they are simply delicious!

@danno698299 I'm all for bones! If you eat bristling sardines, you can eat them right out of the can!

So glad I discovered your site & vids today thanks to Donna Dockins of Oregon Dukkah! Love the food history & info you share. I enjoy sardines with hot sauce on either saltines or water crackers ... sometimes I spread a little whipped cream cheese on the cracker or add a little chopped onion.
