The reason why you get more "ghost" in older pictures, is because older cameras did not have automatic film advance, so if you forgot to advance the film and took your next picture you would get a double exposure. I have an old camera from the 50's and I have done this numerous times and I have a "ghost" when I get my pictures back. I done one intentionally where I took a picture of myself in a chair, did not advance the film and took another one, and told everyone I took a pictureof a ghost.
