Waley Waley - The Water is Wide - Haunting, old Gaelic song set to stop-motion photography.. Taken some liberties with the words, but there are so many versions that I doubt it matters.. Brae means slope / hill, gae,- go, wist - known. Anybody who can tell me what a 'burnside is, I'd be grateful to know.
Waly Waly is Scottish right enough and based on the older Scottish ballad called Sir James Douglas. It is not a Gaelic song though. Nothing Gaelic about it :-)

Some technical things are not perfect in your version, but - your voice, the sadness in it, composed with pictures makes a a thing that I love!

This plantive, pure performance profoundly moves me. Very unique version. Please disregard anyone who responds less than positively. This will be a classic. Lovely. Thank you. Lyrics are unique in my experience...I collect versions of this song--have for over 30 years. Thank you.
