I have never heard her say that at this point she has only the skills of a novice. Strange. How on earth would she possibly get into ABT if she was so unskilled. And how on earth would she have been promoted?

Id never say that shes been "glamorized". Many more people receive far more press. And frankly being an african american female in a major ballet company is so incredibly rare (like ufos landing in cental park rare) that it does deserve something of a look.

Never fear so. Look at the opposite case: Maria Kochetkova. She's very short, she's 5, and she made it. Look at Misty, she's 5'2, she started late and she's african-american, everything were against them and they did it anyway. Remember: "difficulties are there to make you stronger, not to push you away from what you love". Dance and stay strong (:

no she most certainly should not! Not unless you want to see Odette with gigantic boobs bouncing everywhere. But aside from that, her dancing (classical dancing, mind you) is not all that great. Very good, but not that great.
