KPRC, Local 2 at 6:00 2004 Teaser/Open

Before GM Steve Wassermann left to WDIV and new management came in, KPRC ran a more high-tempo teaser open to begin its newscasts. Anchored by Bill Balleza and Lisa Baldwin (who was filling in for Linda Lorelle)

Lorelle is now out of the business and Wasserman left WDIV.

This previous graphics package was MUCH better than their current graphics. Nowadays, they use crummy old cuts of Advantage for bumpers and teasers. So, they're not getting any better. I also believe they're the only station in town not broadcasting in HD. Although I'm not too sure about KRIV and KHCW as it's been months since I've seen anyone of their newscasts.

Rumor has it that KPRC will broadcast their news in HD by June 2008.

i dont really think kprc should be a news station there horrible and the graphics then are better than the ones now.they have false news and are always late to breaking news.gosh they suck

KPRC used to be the best in breaking news until a change of management happened. It was my station to watch until 2006.

A better set because KHOU's INTERIM set looks better than KRPC's current. Also but most of all, NEW GRAPHICS. SHINY GRAPHICS. Stuff that would put all the others to shame instead of stuff that looked transitions from Powerpoint with an overuse of Arial and some block font.

The old great days of KPRC with Ron, Jan and Doug are gone, I dont even recognize it as a true Houston station anymore. Atleast Belo and Disney-ABC keep there themes with local flavor.

its Post-Newsweek, they suck, NBC-Universal needs to take over the station. You can see the difference when you watch NBC 5 in Dallas.
