  • Hi! I really like your tutorials and have learned a lot from them. But, have you considered to stop using coconut oil? It's very bad for the rainforest and therefore the world to use palm tree products such as palm and coconut oil. It's great that you say you can substitute it with almost any other natural oil. That should be done by everyone! Thanks!

  • @Aonly413 I can see how using palm oil would be bad for the rainforest, but harvesting coconuts leaves the trees intact so I don't think it'll do any damage, actually...

  • Hi Lucy!!! I have a question for you. You have mentioned that any natural oil would be good for your hair and i remembered that my mom has some castor oil at home because one of my cousins uses it to keep his eyelashes long, thick and healthy. So, i looked for videos here on youtube about it and some people say it is good for hair growth but they say that they apply it on their scalp. Have you ever tried it? Do you think it would work? How would you wash it off? Thank you! =)

  • @viloy100 I've heard that castor oil works wonders =) Every person's hair will react differently though so no results are guaranteed. I'd advise you to apply it on your scalp, leave it in for a couple of hours (overnight perhaps?) and wash it out with shampoo after that =)

  • hey :)) i have a question for you ... i was looking for coconut oil for really long time ... and i finally found it ... yay :) ... but ... i found it in a body shop, and it was quite expensive ... they asked 6.50 Euro for 50 grams ... so i would like to know, where did you buy your coconut oil ... thank you for answer :))

  • @little5maggie You can get it in food supply stores, with all the other oils =)

  • @frichikendz You are right about the scalp producing the oils hair needs. When your hair gets really long though, the natural oils from your scalp never reach your ends. You'd have to stop washing your hair for months for that to happen, some people do it but not very many =P That's why you'd only apply oil on the length and ends, the roots indeed don't need it and you'd throw your system off by applying it there ^-^

  • I do not believe it is so much as "the water makes the oil sink in faster" versus the oil on damp hair creates a barrier along the shaft of the hair keeping water in the cortex longer. Hot/warm oil treatments work because the warmth causes the cuticule to lift and for the oil to seep in. Cold oil treatments work if you put on a shower cap on and let the natural heat off your head to do the work. You can cut soak time in half by wearing a shower cap and taking a warm bath. :P

  • Hi, i use oil in my hair everytime i wash it...i noticed you apply it to dry hair, i'd suggest you to spray some water in your hair before applying any oil, that makes the oil sink in more deeply! :-)

  • some how you looks like rowan atkinson

  • Hello! I have watched you for awhile and I love your vids :) About the coconut oil and water thing, I really agree with you. I understand your logic behind it and that's what I thought at first too! The thing is, when I saturate my hair with coconut oil, my ends feel like VELCRO! So I tried using a lot less of the oil, and my hair felt less velcro-y. Then I tried applying coconut oil (medium amount,) to my wet ends and dry length and when I washed-- WHAZAMMM-- silky smooth ends. :)??

  • @MakennaY95 i figured it out in the meantime, but thanks anyway :)

  • @MissFoto1 I am surely not Loopsie, but as a user of coconut oil i think i can answer your questin - it is fine to store it somewhere cool, but not straight in the sunlight. Storing it in the fridge would only make the use of it harder :)

    love your videos

  • Hiya, What brand is the coconut oil you use? xx

  • I have a question~ I don't have oily hair so much but I get pimples on my scalp sometimes. I don't know my father gets them too so it might be genetic. Anyway, I was wondering, do you think if I did a hot oil treatment with olive oil would I get more pimples on my scalp? I'm too scared to try and see for myself, so I'd like your opinion on it. Thanks for reading. ♥

  • I put it in my roots and it made my hair thicker :)
