This was an unreleased demo on the Mookie tape, the version known as "Breath" was released on the Singles Soundtrack and eventually on rearviewmirror. The lyrics are taken from Pearljam.com and are slightly edited to fit this version.

Pearl Jam - Breath and a Scream
Oh, tonight began with anything
Shaft of a light. A warm breath and a scream
Oh, yeah
Oh, tamper if you like between the doors
Oh
Oh, can't expect to go out, to go out with anything, anything more.
Oh reach the door
A breath and a scream
Oh reach the door, I know I'll never
Life ain't what it's worth
With a breath and a scream
Oh reach the door
All these reaching hands out grabbing things
Grabbing me
Day in day out accumulating. Oh yeah
Whoa, I suggest you step out on your porch
Oh yeah
Hey, run away my son. See it all. See the world
Oh reach the door
With breath and a scream
Oh reach the door
a la la la la yeah
Life ain't what it's worth
A breath and a scream
Oh reach the door
Come, Here it comes, There it goes, When it comes.
Where it goes, Where it comes.
Can't see through the faith
Ooh, Come, Here it comes, There it goes
Grasp what you can
Don't you know there's something inside your head
Oh, if I knew where it was I would take you there but there's much more than this.
Ooh
Whoa, much more than this
See the world
Much more than...
....There's much more than this... dunno why, but I always got shivers on this part :) My favorite Pearl Jam song.

Nice, but the Singles version is better. Dave's drumming in the Singles version rules. I find this version lacking intensity.

@greenslashpurple It's from the ten reissue. They added a few songs that weren't on the original.

@pressuredup Porch is actually a term used to relate to 'home', leaving your porch isn't literal, but more has to do with your actual childhood home itself.
So when he says to step out on your porch, or that he left the porch(in the Porch song itself), he's really just saying that you can't live at home forever, but have to go out and live your life the way your life should be lived(not the way someone else tells you to).
