As suggested I'm trying rice tonight, and then beans tomorrow. I think the rice will work great, but not so sure about the beans.

I tested this last night with my steel cut oats. They are a pain to make on the stove, so I it was worth a shot. WOW! they turned out perfect. Looking forward to the rice and bean report.
