My mums, Penny. Lovely little shetland mare. But recently i have been doing more and more work with her and she has been doing hardly any RD work, so i said should i take her on... And mum said yes... So now i know to make my timetable around her LOL, so two shetlands and one nutter, hope i have no more LOL!!! But love her, we got first in this... Donno how...

One standard i ride, my other is my show pony an will one day be used for stud, one mini is a show pony and the other a driver!! Ur balance on ur wee pony is fab!! Im still gettin used to ma boy as only jst started riding him an im not used to being on something so small! lol x

@moocow7799 , We got Penny from a driving yard in Wiltshire. I don't really know I am afraid. I would search the Shetland Society and see if there are any recommended dealers around. Apart from that I don't know anything else, but i feel honoured your asking me. AND I really Wish you Luck In finding the correct one for you! Would recomend watching their movement and checking their faces, if they strike you as cheeky, they are the right one...

@moocow7799 , dont worry, Penny is 10.3hh, yes she has a saddle but my arse is too large, i *spill* over the sides lol, but if you wish to see there is a video on penny alone somewhere on here

@moocow7799 , It is not advisable, due to the fact that they are a shetland x with a fellabella. They normally have weaker bone set and just are not built for it. Mini's are for the same use as fellabellas, cuddling and loving, they have no other real use. Though I found that they make super driving ponies, as long as you watch the weight they pull. I wouldnt really recommend riding a minature, but the final decision is upto you.
