  • @aviomaster days actually

  • suka yeltsin and gnida gorbachev all of them traitors

  • @JunaidLevesqueAlam i balme CIA, it corrupted the communist party and was able to get 1 of there currupted leaders in power, gorbachev.

  • All those tanks, but not a one helped stanch the demise of the Soviet empire.

  • That caused huge problems in plans, Meretskovs plan was crush mannerheim line by first making big attack at north, taipale so that finns would concentrate their reserves there, and then start the main offensive at Summa, geographically weakest point of the line, which was actually the most fortified sector. When Meretskov thought the time to invade summa had become the situation at taipale was still good. Weapon coordination was also poor.

With good plans it would have taken aprox 4-8 weeks.

  • Asking the allies to treat finland better than other countries fighting with axis, which were required to fully surrender.

There were offensive plans in winter war, and they were actually pretty good. Problem of them was that they predicted that finns would not have such fighting morale and would surrender in serious battles.

Main problem still was that soviet commanders probably didn't report to stalin that "Finns killed half of our division and they didn't suffer any major losses".

  • @SovietBear91 Soviets of course could have invaded Finland, after all their army was bigger than the whole finnish population...

But i haven't heard about any contrasts with allies. The main reason soviets didn't conquer Finland was the losses, it was just not reasonable to conquer some forests and swamps and pay a price of hundreds of thousand men. There were also other reasons, one was actually that Stalin himself appreciated good soldiers over everything. Theres even proof from him

  • @ljlassi dude serious if USSR had plans to invading finland they would habe done it in WW2 but they had contracts with the allies. if not red army would pound finland back in the stoneage

  • @SovietBear91 Yeah true, but u must remember that if u nuke finland St Petersburg is unliveable for at least next 1000 years due to radiation...
