Skippable Pre-roll Ads on YouTube - Video News You Can Use

I would like to have a preroll ad on one of my videos? How do I go about setting a prerol ad up on my channel site. Some of my videos already have only banner ads?

@Ahhapictures I believe that only YouTube Partners have the ability to set up pre-roll advertising, so if you have a video or two that got accepted you won't have the option to add it. Seems kind of silly

@zombiesocks99 I haven't been a big fan of ANY YouTube pre-roll ads so far. When it comes to video advertising I like Hulu's choose your own ad model the best. If I'm going to be forced to watch an ad it might as well be relevant. How about you?

I hope this doesn't mean that now almost all the vidoes on youtube will begin to have ads, even yif i can skip them it would be so anoying.

I have unsubscribed with every partner who uses pre-roll ads.

Google is one of the few things in the world that I hate -- yes, I mean it when I use the word HATE here. It has polluted the once-pleasant-looking YouTube with ugly ads to the point of saturation, severely downgrading everyone's experience of it. . And the pre-rolls! That is the most insidious form of web advertising. When one comes on I leap into action by turning the sound off and switching to another tab to do something interesting in the meantime.

For YouTube, funny and entertaining ads would certainly be more welcomed. Or for some you can include ads directly in the video during its creation....product placement, etc.

@vidiseo The one i would like to see the most out of ALL the pre-roll ads would be that halo reach ad not only is it my favorite game, it is only about 10-15 seconds long!

But sadly, it was only on untill sept 14 (game release) :(
