@scottykilmer ok thank you very much. I just found out how much it cost to replace the bushing and its ridiculous how much it cost. Its cheaper if i just buy the whole control arm and replace that myself. Seems simple enough and it will end up being cheaper

Scotty great videos and seeing as how I own a saab i do alot of maintanence myself lol My lower control arms are bad, They are look similar to the ones you put on in this video, I am told by a mechanic each side requires 5 hours of maintanence. Do you think I can do this myself? and does it really take 5 hours? I do most of my own work and you made this look pretty easy..

@scottykilmer ok yea because my girlfriend has a 96 camery and the lower control arm bushing is no good on both sides. The control arm looks the same and so does the bushing. My question is, does the bushing itself come out easy?? They sell the bushing by itself at autozone.

@vwmetal66 NO, they are hell to press in and out, requiring a machine press and special tools.

is it the same process for a 90 Nissan 300zx?? my steering shakes when i brake, how can you tell the difference between warped rotors and a bad lower control arm?
dudewtf1776 1 month ago
@dudewtf1776 you pullon the arm and see if it has play, and the rotors you measure with a micrometer to see if it's thicker and thinner in different spots
