La Toyota FT-86 è la prima vettura nata dalla collaborazione con Subaru. La coupé dal desing molto aggressivo ha già messo nel mirino la concorrenza: Volkswagen Scirocco e Renault Megane Coupé.
La Toyota FT-86 è una coupé 2+2 a trazione posteriore, prima vettura ad unire un'architettura caratterizzata dal motore Boxer Subaru con il sistema di iniezione Toyota D-4S.
Il motore dovrebbe garantire una potenza di almeno 200CV per una velocità massima di 225 km/h e un'accelarzione 0-100 km/h inferiore ai 7".
Rumors insistenti parlano anche di una motorizzazione sovralimentata accreditata oltre 275CV, perché Toyota non scorda di essere stata la prima casa giapponese a mettere... ruota al Nürburgring.
Il suo arrivo è previsto per il 2012 nei mercati dov'è presente, dall'Europa agli Stati Uniti, Giappone incluso.
Negli Stati Uniti la commercializzazione è prevista con il nome di Scion mentre anche Subaru sta sviluppando il suo modello.

Was seriously debating purchasing this car when it comes out this year, but I've owned nice cars for the past 10 years now, and at 26 years old I can only eat so much ramen noodles and live in crappy apartments to support my car habbit for so long haha...

Who the hell is going to buy a new NSX in this economic hardship? LOL.... The Supra will be affordable for me with my kind of income. I will never buy a 100k car, there is absolutely no reason unless you're trying to stand out and show off your wealth. The Supra will be a desire choice since it's in the 30K + and going to be under $50k for SURE. As for right now, the new 2013 Genesis coupe with 350hp is way more desirable than this FRS go-cart.. Puahhahahaa

@forexmarketz They havn't even made a concept yet. With honda releasing the new NSX in 2013 with an estimated price of over $100000, they supra will be well above your 30k mark. And every new supra article talk about hybrid electric motors to compete with the hybrid motors in the wheels of the NSX. Enjoy your overpriced Prius, while some of us enjoy driving a car instead of showing of to out wog mates how cool that skid was.

The new Supra 2013 will be release after Scion FR-S. The Supra will cost $30k plus but it will be well worth it in every aspects. A kind of vehicle you can keep for 10 years and pass it down to your kids. The new FR-S stands for " Freaking Retarded-Scion " which is ugly as hell and with a ridiculous price tag of $25K plus. You monkeys will be stuck with the finance loan in 2013 while I pass you by with the all new SUPRA, hahahahahahha....
