Conan O'Brien sticks it up to NBC and Jay Leno

Jay Leno's legacy will be screwing the rightful Tonight Show host out of the gig twice. First it was Letterman, and now Conan...I seriously don't think Leno himself was ever funny.

They were going to move The Tonight Show with Conan back another time slot in order to move Jay Leno into Conan's time slot. This was done only to improve Jay Leno's ratings which, for good reason, Conan took offense to. The Tonight Show had been in that time slot for 60 years and they were going to move it back just for Jay Leno. Conan would leave the show in 2010 as a result.

There have been some quotes by comedians such as patton oswalt saying they were amazed that one of the greatest comedians of their generation would "just willingly turn it off". I guess one day he just decided to not try and has been coasting ever since?
