PETA HAS TAKEN IT UPON ITSELF TO SUPPORT BREED SPECIFIC LEGISLATION, TO BAN THE PIT BULL TERRIER, AND ERADICATE THE BREED.In 2000, PETAs president, Ingrid Newkirk, made public statements in which she opposed the adoption of pit bulls in her article, Some Dogs Are Weapons Ban Them. In fact, in her article she supports breed specific bans and blanket euthanasia policies regarding pit bulls. She concluded the article stating the public should only adopt other breeds

i owe everything to my pit bull (Shug). i thought my wife was watching my 4yr. old daughter and she thought i was watching her. i was less then 10ft. away and had 8 friends there for a cook out. no one saw my daughter fall into the pool. no one but SHUG ! she jumped straight in saving my daughters life so if you are one of these people who think they have every right to take my pit.. be willing to die or kill because i will KILL or DIE to STOP YOU !!! DONT FUCK WITH MY FAMILY !
