President Obama Full Q&A

President Obama spoke to House Republicans at their retreat in Baltimore. In his remarks he said he welcomed disagreement and debate, but called for genuine bipartisanship and asked for constructive ideas in confronting the nation's problems. Following his remarks he openly and frankly answered pointed questions from the Republican legislators. Topics ranged from health care, to energy policy, to taxes and the economy.

Ryan says the president is mistaken and that discretionary spending increased 84%. Since, politifact has shown Ryan was including the one-time stimulus package and was putting things in the worst light.

So, even at this early time, the president reaches across the aisle and Ryan slaps his hand away. It's too bad, this could be a constructive meeting leading to practical bipartisanship.

They should play this in every city in the US continuously until election day. We don't need a better President, we need better congressmen. Any government official that can ignore the suffering of the people in order to hurt a political foe isn't worthy of his/her office.
