You should do your homework on the settings. HMC40 should be shooting way clearer video like this guys here search "panasonic HMC40 new cam test clip!" and also "HMC40 Outdoor Action of UTV and Side by Side Vehicles". Just trying to help

I'm not new to working with prosumer/professional Panasonic cameras. We were shooting twilight. HMC40 has 3 one quarter inch sensors. Which means sucky low light capabilities. Thus bumping the shutter speed up would've hurt the shots more than anything. I've seen both of those videos and they were shot mid day. I think the price for the HMC40 is set too high. It is a sick camera, but it is still closer to high end consumer grade camcorders, partially due to sensor size and low bit rate.
