Ah- that's E Nomine again. The song is called ZORN. I highly reccomend these guys- I use them in a lot of profiles and they can honestly do no wrong. Pick up any of their CDs, you find music just as good as this if not better.

Actually, the popular theory is that if you fall into a spring, you will be cursed to turn into what you would look like if you were the species that downed in that spring. Take Herb and Ranma, bouth fell into the spring of drowned girl, and yet they look nothing alike. This is supported by the fact the Ranma's female from looks like a young version of his mother. His female form is what he would look like if he was born as a female instead of a male.

the octopus could have gotten trapped in the spring and starved to death. It didn't have to drown, just die.

@TraciPeteyforlife Fair enough. Though if I'm not mistaken Taro also just splashed water from the Spring of Drowned Octopus onto his back, so maybe that's part of the reason.

@LordGosai Its never fully been explained as to if jumping into spring of drowned man/boy/male. (There are several. Like spring of downed priest.) Would in fact change Ranma into a diffrent male version of himself. Or would in fact mix the two curses and change him into a she-male. The only thing we have to go by, what happend in the manga. There might be a way to make them not mix. But no one at knows for sure. As the creator of Ranma 1/2 has decided its more fun to watch us all debate it.

@Adz1009 yes you are making sense. Its been proven in the manga that the curses mix. Taro jumped into spring of drowned Octopus just to gain extra power.

just one thourgt if one falls in one spring and goes into nyannaichuan or nannaichuan whould that cure them or will it combine to two curses. so if ranma fall into nannaichuan and after that when he gets hit with cold water he becomes half girl half boy. or if ryoga takes the fall he will become a pig man when hit with cold water (am i making sense???)
