lol!
I was searching for some nice banjo songs, and remembered that the grandson of a guy in my church once played one called "Blackjack".....
Sounds just as good as it did at camp Austin...lol.

Don't listen to these timing nerds - playing at the breach of your limits causes friction. That's what up and coming musicians strive for - and it's also why people rather listen to early JD Crowe, rather than late - because there's more friction. Keep up the good work! Greetings from Norway

I like how you guys are criticizing a video that is over 3yrs old when he has newer videos with the same boys that are amazing.

0024681 is correct and entitled to his opinion. Music played too fast is usually full of mistakes. Surely these pckers have listened to this video countless times and if honest, would have to agree. I don't claim to know a lot about anything, although I do play, and I know what sounds good and what doesn't. Anyone who puts a video on you tube should be able to take some criticism along with atta' boys if they deserve it.

Yall need to chill out. This video is fine anytime ANYONE playes anything at this tempo there will be timing issues. Get off their backs lol its just youtube video that probably wasnt planed or practiced. Geez stop trying to look like your some renowned bluegrass picker that knows everything about timing because if you were a guarantee you that you wouldnt be on youtube correcting people on their timing issues!!
Agreed slow down, you guys are struggling to hold the meter. Slow accurate and clean should be your motto.
Speed will come, but not so fast that you lose everyone else in the process... Holy crow.. Fast isn't every thing specailly when you have to strugggle to keep the tempo there.. Woah Trigger,,,

Yeah he's had it for a couple years now. It is really nice. Not quite the sound of an original pre-war flathead but it is still a killer banjo. Thanks for the comment :)
