Metallica with John Marshall - Nothing Else Matters

In 1992 during a hugely financially successful co-headlining tour with Guns N' Roses, Hetfield suffered severe second and third degree burns to his left arm due to pyrotechnics during the opening of "Fade To Black", leaving him unable to play guitar for a portion of the tour. Former Metallica roadie and Metal Church guitarist John Marshall filled in for the rest of the tour on guitar while Hetfield continued to sing.

Podczas koncertu w Montrealu fajerwerki, które wybuchły w niewłaściwym momencie, poparzyły dłonie Jamesa. Znów odłożono kilka koncertów. Kolejny raz z odsieczą przybył John Marshall, już nie techniczny Metalliki, a gitarzysta Metal Church. Na następnym koncercie, w Phoenix, James ogranicza się do śpiewania. Tak jest jeszcze w LA, San Diego, Seattle i Vancouver.

its hard seeing hetfield bandaged up like that, but its gd to see him back onstage, the metallica spirit never give up. just like after the death of cliff burton(r.i.p).
