A selection of Plasma Balls and Plasma Lamps as shown in four feature films, most from the 1980s. I've also added credits so that viewers can tell which artist produced which piece. I suspect strongly that plasma artist Larry Albright produced the plasma jar used in the feature film "THE SHADOW" but I've been unable to contact him to confirm this. The artists are often asked for samples of their work and unless you are familiar with the movie which they appear in, it's hard to find animated representations.

I've compiled this select footage for the purpose of review and if you are a studio that find's any of my content objectionable due to content. I invite such entities to contact me and I'll either edit or remove the content. I have asked the studios (who's work is glimpsed briefly in this video) for permission to use the footage as long as the content was less than 60 seconds per clip.

I REALLY would have liked to have added a sample from "Star Trek First Contact" *(Luminglass plasma by Wayne Strattman) and also "My Science Project" which features a classic plasma device that was built by Larry Albright and Associates but have no quality source material at hand to sample from.

  • The band W.A.S.P. had a plasma globe in their music video for the song Love Machine

  • There was a plasma sphere used in the 1986 Australian stop motion film Happy Hatchday to PLASMO.

  • I remember a movie from when I was younger. It had a plasma ball in it. A group of teens. And some kind of sports car with an air intake on the top of the hood. Any ideas?
