@partygirl209 I felt the same thing too, it would be playful innocent fun during one moment then quickly drift into some sort of conflict that led to blame, guilt, frustration and sometimes anger... I felt depressed quiet a few times while watching this film. Although over all I thought that this was a good movie with a unique storyline and certain way for awakening different kinds of strong emotions through out the film, something not a lot of children's films can do now a days.

this movie is quite depressing considering it's based on a kids book!!

too bad the trailer was way better than the movie.

I agree, I'm sick of CGI, bring back things we can touch!

@valleri07 It's funny that you mention that, The Jim Henson Creature Shop made the suits and puppets for this film. So you can count those with those other classics.

@KnivesMonroe it is really beautiful <3

this song IS "Wake Up" by Arcade Fire (which by the way is an acoustic version used in this preview).
on the other hand, Karen O DID composed a song for the movie which is called "All Is Love". i think Karen O's song is the main theme for the movie though..
hope this clears up everything.

Why can't they make this style of movies again? It soooo reminds me of a young Jim Hensen! Not everything has to be heavy on CGI. I really like the live feel of using the costumed creatures...dare I say even "muppet" like Wild Things?
Again, this had me thinking of classics like Labyrinth and The Neverending Story.
