After a "global warming winter", we finally got snow. A little trip to one of our "Chain of Lakes", right in the city was the order of the day. Shot on HDV; see stills at http://www.flickr.com/photos/fantailmedia/ .

  • how did you compress that? i have the same camera....

  • I just used iMovie 6 (and it took FOREVER:-). Would've gone easier with a faster Mac and Compressor or Sorenson, I'm sure.

I'm in the video business; I sell the gear, that ishow I had access to the camera so fast.

  • yea i visit chicago all the time and i live in minneapolis and you cannot say it was a warm winter in minnesota its imposable it was just a dry year....this year we have already seen 13 inches just in the metro

  • But not for people who like cold! You all may not have gotten a lot of snow, but it damn sure was cold. I live in Chicago but I was in Minneapolis in February and it was - 22 F with the wind blowing! Even Chicago doesn't get that cold (at least not down by the lake it doesn't).

  • It is true. This winter was miserable for people who like snow.
