Wouldn't a gun that size have massive recoil and low accuracy?

Yeah, I was kind of always surprised of it's long range accuracy. Well, by best bet is that the gun isn't that bug, and a good half of it is to stabilize the recoil.

PS. I don't know much about ballistics, but I think that the gun being heavy will reduce some of the recoil.

recoil is caused by the kinetic energy of the bullet a force that travels in one direction gives off the same force in the other direction. so yes this gun would have beasty recoil lol unless the bullets are ejected in a downward motion which could keep the gun steady. It also depends what cal bulllet the gun fires bigger bullets mean more kinetic energy = more recoil

well you need a heavy gun to shoot a big round and big rounds give big recoil most of the time
