  • Rochester, New York? That Subway was part of the original Eire Canal. When the Canal was moved and modernized, the canal bed through Rochester was abandoned and drained of water. Someone had the idea that it would be cheaper to put tracks in it, and roof it over, than what it would cost to fill in. So the city of Rochester got a free Subway.

  • i didnt kno they used to have subways in rochester. i thought that was bay ridge. on the R line between 59 st and bay ridge ave
