Statistics only tell a part of the story--putting faces to the numbers. The AIDS epidemic is not going away. An entire generation has been decimated and the future looks bleak.
___, ___, ___ people are affected by AIDS every day. Yet hope remains. ___, ___, ___ people are not giving up hope, will we?

  • after watching "The Other Side of AIDS" and "Deconstructing AIDS" at google video, there is reasonable considerable doubt ..... the jury is still out on this one ......

  • Please don't be fooled by these ridiculous pseudo-scientific farces. HIV is a real virus, AIDS is a real disease, people are really dying.

I appreciate that we shouldn't take things unquestioningly, but the science behind HIV/AIDS is solid and accurate. The quantity of mothers being widowed and children being orphaned is real. The Pandemic is real.

The jury is not still out, the verdict is in.

  • There is a serious lack of health care workers available to do something about the AIDS epidemic. Africa needs 1.5 million more health workers to meet their HIV/AIDS needs. Globally, there is a 4.5 million person gap in health workers for HIV/AIDS, many or most of which are needed in South Asia and the far East. Sub-saharan Africa has 24% of the world's HIV/AIDS disease burden, but only 3% of the world's health workers.
