Just caught it again on TCM and bawled like a 61 year old baby! Getting to be my favorite flick of my life!

@reddragonace Yes, I agree -- I thought it was great, too. I thought he captured the insanity and obsession very well. Strangely enough, Peck seemed to hate his performance.

When I was kid, I watched this film any chance I could. Forget your 80s slasher films---Peck's performance both riveted and scared the crap out of me.

Great pairing, btw. I love Christopher Young's music.

@darkprose Yep, because no one could make a better Ahab than Gregory Peck. The first time I saw him walk out with that peg-leg limp and that seething expression with his haunted, baritone voice, I knew no one could top it.

@reddragonace Yes! I'm in total agreement. The music in that film is fantastic. In fact, the whole movie needs a special or collector's edition -- it needs to be completely remastered and restored in HD, I think.
