That is very true but for some reason hardly anyone really listens to the obvious and instead willingly jumps in to a convincing lie. Maybe its a breath of fresh air to be reminded by the obvious than being bombarded by tales from the so called experts

Your statement reminds me of the narrative fallacies he talks about. Of course it's obvious, now.
Has Taleb said anything about Extreme Value Analysis? I could not find a single word about it in the book (The Black Swan).

@uRRonin I'd say that one of his fundamental thoughts is precisely that. Extreme value analysis usually underestimates probabilities. Rare events occur more often than predicted by common financial models, statistical models or human intuition.

Taleb es muy bueno pero decir que la suerte es lo que determina el éxito es una imbecilidad.

@Kanariodan24 No es lo que dice. Sería mas exacto decir que gracias a las suerte también se puede tener éxito y que eso ocurre en muchas más ocasiones de lo que creemos. Entre otras cosas por nuestra innata tendencia a atribuir sentido causal a hechos casuales.
