cosMo is back! Yay~
Um, keep in mind that I am completely not entirely sure of how accurate my translation is, so... if someone else translates this song, then please immediately forget about this video.

BTW, Aniplex decided to delete my translation Ikebukuro Lovers. Humph. Go and check out themilktea's hardsub of the song instead~

  • Wow that was quick! =O

Thank you so much for the translation. Just a small typo I think you made. You typed: "Overlapping and reflecting, nobody is the idea girl", but later on she seems about 'ideal's, so I think you might've typo'd "ideal" as "idea", perhaps?

  • Ahaha, I was wondering if somebody would bring that up.... Actually, that part's correct. It's "idea", and not "ideal". Maybe I should've worded that line better... hm.

  • Ah sorry.

I sometimes do vocaloid song lyric beta/proofreading so I can help you convey your 'idea' across ;D *shot*

But yeah, it doesn't make too much sense, grammar-wise. What does it mean? =O

  • No, that's fine. Ohoho~ xD

I couldn't quite figure out the meaning of that part, but I think it means that there's 'nobody with any good ideas.' Or something like that.

  • Whereas I myself read it as "nobody is your dream girl", as if speaking to the third person.

  • @katarani

I guess that line fits better in the song, but it still goes along with "ideal girl". Maybe I'm missing something here, since I couldn't find out what イデア translated to.

  • @barryl33t3r kanji I believe

  • what is this written in

  • @Dilan10Z I've got both, and I find Vocaloid far harder to get decent results from. I suppose it depends what you're used to, really.

  • @AgentAsteriski but isnt UTAU harder to work with?

  • @scarletgrl In the PV it makes a lot more sense. It's actually about plagarism. So let's just say Miku wrote a brand new song. Suddenly all these other people began singing HER song, saying it was theirs. She would get confused because she would remember that it was actually hers. Watch the PV, it's easier to understand

  • Hmm....what I'm thinking the song is about, is that nobody's really perfect. Each day people, let's say singers and their songs, are being judged and replaced all the time. I'm guessing "Miku" (since it's her confusion song we'll use her) is aware of the jealousy and hatred of people yet no one else is, and will simply stop becoming famous out of lost hope.

  • @VocaloidFTW I would. UTAU has far more potential, limitless possibilities, and thousands of voices free to use. If you only had to pick one, you could certainly find your ideal voice. Plus, a really well recorded/configured CV bank sounds just as good as any Vocaloid, and a good VCV sounds better.

  • @Kamberlyn OMG you might be right, it would make sense, but the time difference these songs were made (the Long versions) is big so it might not be. But who in their right mind would uninstall Miku for an UTAU!!!

  • the begining sounds lik sonic to me. lol

  • @Kamberlyn It's funny you should say that, because in the short PV (/sm10247886), there is a frame that shows Kasane Teto as one of the singers taking Miku's song!
