Jumping lesson-Socks

I love this horse :')

I've never had a problem jumping her until we had to tackle the VERY (May I add) narrow stiles :P

So from the start of the lesson she felt really heavy in the mouth, and just generally uncomfortable, and we had a run out at just a normal fence which we don't normally have (although slightly my fault as I had my whip in the wrong hand :L) but I thought, ok this is a bit unusual for us. Then at the top of the school she was avoiding my contact even more and was getting really uptight again, so my instructor told me to keep circling her until she calmed down. Then she realised that Socks was wearing the flash which she doesn't usually wear, and this was what was making her so unhappy. So we took it off and she was a lot calmer :)

But the dreaded Stiles..... Perfectly fine of the first 1, but not the second.... It is perfectly easy to ride this horse over a grid of jumps, but things get tricky when you have to negotiate VERY narrow jumps like these, and keep her between your leg and hand the whole time (which i majorly fail at :P). She was testing me, because i had to have her 100% straight otherwise she wouldn't jump. But my instructor told me to take my time and not rush, hence why I walked her into most of the stiles. Anyway we had a few hiccups but got there in the end :)

I was happy with the way i rode her, and so was my instructor so no crit pleasee xxxxx

@DancingHorseX Yeah i rode her yesterday :') she is really nice, pretty much like Nic Nac but a bit more green, like her jump is really funny and she can get quit nervous and strong...but shes really cool :) she is SOOOO big though :P i didnt realise how big she actually was until i got on her :L haha xxxxxxxx
