Did you know?

If you learn the skill "Kyrie" from Hondara before Ryu & Garr's fight in Angel Tower, you'll be able to kill the Dragon Zombie in 1 hit guaranteed. Alternatively you can just level up Garr enough to learn his ability Kyrie, works all the same.

I didn't read through comments to see if anyone else said this, but I've already written it now. XD

But yeah i knew about it otherwise too, but i just do not want to one-shot bosses. I mean what's the point?

Bosses are supposed to be difficult.

I fought him the traditional way. And that for years. When somebody told me Kyrie is a one-hit-kill for this guy I smacked my head against a wall.

Oh well, at least I can say I took him down like a MAN, and not like a wimp. lol

Yep yep. I actually knew Kyrie one-shots him, even back in the day when i first played the game...

But i never used it. Because it's excessively cheap.

I read some years ago you can obtain from this battle the DRAGON TEAR but it never happened to me. Anyone obtained it?

I hate this boss. He killed me and I had to go back FIVE SAVES. God it took another hour to come back.

I both loved and hated this boss. I always found it difficult, mainly from the Confusion and such, and until my 3rd(?) playthrough, I didn't know about Kyrie. But on my 3rd play, I knew about it, and decided to have some fun with this guy >:D I used Kyrie on him to own him.

I fought him the hard way not once, but twice, so I naturally wanted to try the easy way and just pwn him.

Some ppl are dump! only cause you not use a spell which ends the battle easier dose´nt mean you know of it or how to attain it. me&myself and i also prefer some challenge in games^^

i know this was 5 years ago, but did you run this on iso? and if so where did you get it because have it but when i got to this part it crashes every time, :[ anybody know why? when i downloaded it there was a part 1 and part 2 for breath of fire 3 and part 2 wont even play...

I never bothered to level Garr up to 26 to learn Kyrie when I fought Dragon Zombie... While I never died against him, he was always quite annoying, and every time he used Bone Dance, I was hoping desperately that he wouldn't confuse Ryu.

Oh, BTW, Donden, which is what the music playing in this fight is called, is one of the best boss tracks EVER.

Something interesting by the way: In the german version of BoF3 the dragon zombie's name has been shorted to "Dr.Zombi" instead of "D.Zombie". That's why me and my friends always used to call him "Doctor Zombie" ;)
