at 2:26 you differentiated the equation with respect to what, please verify?

@holymandan100 No thats not true, Einsteins equations are based on time dilation. So what that means is that the speed of light, which is constant in a vacuum, can be slowed down by membranes or fluids it goes through. The most important part about the speed of light is to recognize that no matter where a person is in the universe he and another can agree on the speed of light. Whether light be traveling in space, or through water, two observers both agree on its velocity. That is relativity.

Thank you for this video. You do an excellent job. I will continue to study it further.

@miprabasiva not true, no where in your presentation do you show explicitly that total energy = KE + restmass*c^2. the assumption is made that mass possesses a total energy that is part kinetic and part rest energy. It can be shown that the KE which you derived reduces to the simple expression m/2*v^2 when you expand the relativistic factor 1-v^2/c^2 (infinite series) and consider that the terms beyond O(2) are negligable.

you r doing simple math here and you still seem to perform the manipulations in a convoluted way
Total Energy = KE + ? Why does it be m0C^2?

total energy = kinetic energy + potential energy. proof is given in the video

Easy to understand, good video. So, the whole universe has two things that is absolute: momentum and C, right?
AndyKong51 3 years ago
C is the only absolute.. Momentum varies as the speed varies..
