  • thanks Geoff...your'e one of the view on here thatmake it so much easier to learn, voice, choice of words. Excellent. Checked out all the other dreamweaver tutorials. just about gave up until i came across yours. cheers ...Geoff from new Zeland

  • @Geoff Another Geoff?! It's very much a rarity to meet a "Geoff" here in North America, so cheers! Thanks a lot for the great comment. Awesome to hear you're not giving up! It really frustrates me that others are making this stuff way too complicated, boring, etc. It doesn't have to be that way!!! There's lots more over at tentonbooks . com too!

  • Helpful and entertaining, you provide the perfect package for this kind of how-to content.

  • Awesome man, thx! -Geoff

  • I actually find this method really helpful. It's all a matter of what perspective it is looked at. For someone with experience, it might not be worthwhile but for someone like me who hasn't had said experience this is a very accessible way of looking at things - organized and helpful.

  • Well said, Ror -- for sure, I'm shootin' for those who have never done this before! Thanks for the comment! ~Geoff

  • Awesome bro!

  • This is really great, Geoff! I can't wait to see the whole thing!

  • Thanks for your comments. You're right -- enough talk, make something -- if this were a typical YouTube tut. But it isn't; it's a sample lesson from the forthcoming DVD. Having taught this stuff for 12+ years in the classroom, those with zero experience are totally freaked by this stuff (print designers especially). There's an intimidation factor. So the approach with this DVD lesson is to use a familar metaphore, and explain it visually. I do appreciate your comments. More sample lessons soon!

  • This is something that is quite easy, people don't want to hear 4 minutes about arranging tags. With a little experience with HTML you will understand it anyway. This box thing is just another way of looking at it, although it may be helpful to you, to most It's just going to confuse them more. You should spend more time getting your hands dirty in code and building websites, which will help people more. It's not about fancy ways of looking at stuff, it's about getting experience.
