Misunderstandings happen all the time and sometimes they are solved easily and other times, it causes the worst problems ever. But what if a misunderstanding isn't misunderstood? What if it's the truth?

I woke up the next morning and smiled when I saw Abigail still sleeping next to me. What a beautiful sight to wake up to. I couldn't wait until we were married and we could be in our own house and I woke up to her every single morning. I was highly anticipating Abigail's 19th birthday.
A maid came in and informed me that I had to spend the day with my father. It was going to be very long. I gently shook Abigail and she groaned. "Sweetheart, you need to wake up."
"Joe? For what?"
"I have to go because I need to meet with my father about something. I'm going to be gone all day."
"All day? But aren't we going to be together today?"
"I'm sorry, Abigail. I just wanted to inform you. Go back to sleep." I kissed her cheek and she closed her eyes again.
I got dressed and walked outside. I called a maid over. "Miss, when Abigail wakes up, I'd like you to just show her around the castle and such. Keep her occupied until I come back. Tell her I'll be back at about nine in the evening." The maid nodded and I thanked her. The maids were so polite.
I went downstairs and saw my mother talking with someone. I'd expect it to be another girl for me but it was a man. They were talking intently. It was very odd and suspicious. But what did I care? I had Abigail as my fiancée and she wasn't going to change that ever. I soon left with my father.
The day was boring. I don't see why I had to be with my father on royal business. I wasn't going to be King. I guess he just wanted to take me along anyways, probably hoping that I wouldn't marry Abigail and give it all up in the end. Yeah, that wasn't going to happen. I was too in love with her.
I wish my parents would just give it up already. Nothing they said or did would change that fact that Abigail and I would be married on the day Abigail turned nineteen. I wish they could be happy that I had finally found someone to be my bride. I wish they could support me on this but that was impossible.
We finally got back and it was really late. I hope Abigail had a good time without me. And I hope my mother hadn't insulted her with my absence. I quickly rushed up to my room. I couldn't wait to see my Abigail. I didn't like going so long without being with her. I opened the door to my room and gasped.
I couldn't believe my eyes. The man that I had seen before I left was on top of my fiancée on the bed, kissing her. And the worst part was that Abigail was under him, kissing back with her arms around his neck. How could she do this to me? They both heard me and turned to look at me.
"Joe, I... I didn't... I wasn't..."
I glared at the man. "If you want to keep your life, I suggest you get off of her and leave."
He did so and I turned to stare at Abigail who was standing now. "Joe, please. What you saw was--"
"I know what I saw. Don't even try to tell me that you weren't kissing him because I know you were."
"Joe, I'm sorry. I can explain." Tears grew in her eyes and she looked ready to cry but I was too angry to care.
"Explain what? Why my fiancée was kissing another man while I was away? I can't believe you, Abigail. I can't believe you would do something like this to me. We're going to get married soon and you decide to kiss someone else?"
"No, Joe. You need to understand something."
"What? That I made a mistake? That maybe you don't love me enough to be loyal?"
Tears ran down her face. "No. That's not it, Joe. Please let me explain."
"I don't want to hear your explanations. I think I've been hurt enough. I just can't believe you would do something like this to me. I thought you were better."
"I am. I didn't mean to kiss him, Joe."
"And that was why you had your arms around him, right?"
"I'm sorry. But let me explain everything."
"Just forget it."
I took off my heavy jacket and walked over to the closet. I walked back to the bed. I could hear Abigail's cries but I couldn't help but be furious at her. She was kissing another man in my own bed. It wasn't like he had her tied down. She was kissing him. I don't think I can be near her right now.
I turned to her and she was getting her nightgown. I couldn't sleep with her tonight. I was so angry. I didn't want her to be anywhere near me. I tore the nightgown out of her hands. I put all of her clothes in her bag and started walking downstairs with it, Abigail trailing behind.
"Joe, what are you doing?" she asked, in tears.
"I can't have you in the castle. Go."
"Joe, please don't do this. I'm begging you."
"I can't be near you right now. Get out."
"I'm so sorry, Joe." She broke into sobs and walked out with her bag, out into the pouring rain.

I can't believe abigail did that! I really didn't expect anything like that to happen. I bet Joe's mother was behind all of this. But I do think that Joe was being a little harsh when he kicked her out. :(

Okay, I think Joe was WAY too harsh.
Yes, she was kissing him. Yes, she didn't seem to pulling away but I can't help think that the man had blackmailed her.
Joe's mum obviously put him up to it JUST so Joe can walk in on them together and go mental.
It's another one of her schemes to get them to split up and not get married.
I really hope Joe goes after her, he's going to regret kicking her out of the castle like that.
I bet Joe's mum is all smug because of that. Grrr.

oh no. I understand how Joe's feeling right now, but he shouldnt have kicked her out into the pooring rain. He should let her explain what happened and I have a bad feeling that his mother had something to do with this. And as for Abigail, I agree with softballchick2197. She's always worried Joe doesnt love her, and meanwhile shes just given him a reason not too. I really hope they work things out soon. Loved it. more soon please.

WHAT?!?!?! How can Abigail do that?! Joe shouldve let her explain. It couldve been a misunderstanding but why did she kiss him?! I think cruella de vile was behind this! Joe was harsh to kick her out in the pouring rain. I really wanted to hear what Abigail had to say.

So obviously, WAY obviously, this has to do with his mom. That was the man she was talking to, guaranteed. So there's something there. But Abigail cheating on Joe?! How dare she?! And Joe is hurt, yes, but he has also hurt Abigail in the past. And he kicked her out, which was too far. He could've sent her to another room. And I want to hear her explanation. Desperately.

WTF?!!! OMG Joe you have to remember that it was the same dude your mother, also known as the devil in disguise, was talking to. HELLO make the connection!! Your mother is behind this we all know it.
Joe needs to cool off a bit and realize this, he should've have kicked her out like that especially knowing that she has nowhere to go since her parents live in Ridgeway.
