The Blob - Monster Animation - Cinema 4D with Adobe After Effects

This video is just a realistic attempt to recreate the monster shown in the movie. Great difficulty in trying to create an ooze like substance to the Blob, but an otherwise realistic look considering the background environment in this video.

The Blob is a 1988 American monster horror film distributed by Tristar Pictures. It is a remake of the 1958 film of the same name, which starred Steve McQueen. The film was written by Chuck Russell and Frank Darabont and directed by Russell. The shooting took place in Abbeville, Louisiana. (Wikipedia, The Blob (1988 film))

CINEMA 4D is a modeling, animation and rendering package developed by MAXON Computer GmbH of Friedrichsdorf, Germany. It is capable of procedural and polygonal/subd modeling, animating, lighting, texturing and rendering. (Wikipedia, Cinema 4D)

The source of this video was filmed by me with the Sony HDR-XR350V Camcorder which has the following highlights: 1920 x 1080 Full HD 60p recording, 3MP still images, 160GB HDD (up to 54 hours HD recording in LP mode), wide angle G lens, 42x extended zoom, "Exmor R" CMOS sensor, 3.0" touch screen (SonyStyle.Com).
