This is Gershwin's own published arrangement of his song 'Liza' performed in a charity concert by Mike Thomson. One of the interesting features of the arrangement is that it uses both back tenths (first chorus) and forward tenths (second chorus). It is very satisfying to play, and it allows the performer quite a lot of scope for interpretation.

  • I've just been playing this piece and came online to hear some other interpretations. This is wonderful!

  • @GeheimnisKageV7 I'm very grateful for your kind remark, although I don't feel I deserve it. This arrangement of "Liza" certainly offers the pianist considerable scope for deciding how to play it, once it's securely under the fingers, so that it can be slightly different each time.

  • It was worth waiting for your next uploads... :)

I enjoyed listening very much, but who caused that mess on the floor... lol?

I wish you and yours a merry christmas,

    Lilly
