I have fine memories from The Big Oaks, Lou Ann's, and The Showboat from the mid 60's. Having any memory at all from those places is probably rare! :-) My buddies and I were not old enough to drink in Texas where we lived, but we were tall enough to drink in Lousiana. And such music! We had never heard the like. I played sax in beer joints in Trinity, Texas, but it wasn't the same.

Is this Linda Clark, past singer with BKs? Played trumpet with the band between 72 and 75. Sorry to hear Duane passed on to joint Little Alford and Badeaux. You had a blue Olds Toronato and went out to Las Vegas with Duane sometime around 1972. Remember the Bamboo Hut in L. Charles and some dive in Marksville we played at?. Good old days. If you are not LC please disregard.
