  • once again man tempts nature and like always nature wins.

  • This was a management failure resulting in the loss of lives.You just don't risk lives on a windy day with that much weight to make a deadline.My thoughts are with the families & friends and co-workers of these men.There's really nothing worse than losing a loved one over some idiots negligence.

  • The crane was lifting a big box kite. 440 tons of steel with sheet metal panels attached. The wind + the load were to much for the crane. I heard that the boom could only stand 1% of the lift capacity in lateral (sideways) stress. It was too windy. Bottom line. And three families lost loved ones because of greed.

  • The weight factor changed with the wind...

  • too much wind and too much weight

  • 440 tons... impressive
