I know this song is about someone having to say goodbye in a relationship, but to me it has also helped me to understand quite few times the times in my life when I've known I need to move on in my life to what God has next for me. I hate saying goodbye or leaving situations where I care about the people. This song helps me to know that that as hard as it can be sometimes we do have to say goodbye to get to where God needs me to be.

This song could mean a bunch of things. It could be about a guy. It could be about a death in your family or a friend. It could be anything you wanted it to be. For me this song is about a guy, who I wouldn't let go of. But let go of something God will give you something even greater. I believe that. If it wasnt for that quote I would still be forgiving him.
