I think that this Venom line-up is great. I really do. They had a new found fire that was diminishing starting with At War With Satan, Dolan has a great evil voice, Mantas had good riffs, they had another guitarist, they had a new, more serious approach, and Abaddon's drumming was at its peak. Cronos kicks ass and should continue, but I hope this line-up reunites at some point the way Black Sabbath's Dio line-up does sometimes

For my opinion, the true leader of Venom is Cronos, but PRIME EVIL, if it was recorded withouth him, it's a very good hard/metal album!^_^
But for me, the true Venom are from WELCOME TO HELL to POSSESSED.
Another thing, I hate CALM BEFORE THE STORM! XD A very trash long playing!

Not true! Abbadon started a band called Kaos with a couple of guys called Mark and Jonaz, round about 2003. I have a three track demo they did, from when I had a chance to audition for the band. It was kind of industrial, with lots drum samples, and not very good to be honest.

@FrostbiteKingdom The second guitarist is Al Barnes. He played on Mantas first solo album and then with the Newcastle band XLR8R.

before "retiring"from music abbadon made the cd album (i am) legion a truly awful cd of mainly electro metal!? lets face it he was never a great drummer, but he was a founder member of a great band, a band that founded an entire genre of music & how many bands have done that? the original members of venom fell apart after 1986 album calm before the storm & did not work together again untill the late 90's for the cd "cast in stone"& ive got to say abbadons drumming on that cd was top notch

@liveShit venom split after the release of the 85 album possessed, few years later mantas got abaddon with other ppl, tony dolan, dunno the other guy, reformed as a new venom
