In late 1988, talk of skinheads in the New York media was all the talk. There was the WABC-TV piece, then the Geraldo episode where his nose was broken. After the Geraldo show, there was a program called People Are Talking, hosted by Richard Bey, that brought trad skins on to discuss what skinhead culture is. This program features the founders of S.H.A.R.P. We must note that we are talking about the media here. There are going to be stupid questions, and of course the obligatory bonehead that is also invited to the program.

  • @TheVengence1988 Man, no one is worried about your sorry asses. We are your Doctors, Lawyers, Policemen, city officials, armed forces, Congressmen and your friendly pharmacist too. The difference is we don't get fired when we act on our beliefs, and we are not afraid of people knowing who we are. And we heard that "day will come" bullshit for years. It's not happening. I got your 14 Words right here.

  • @TheSaxon88 it came from the late 60's and skinheads partied with jamaican rude boys. Shows how much you know about skinheads you nazi faggot

  • @freddyglaz No, that was Brendan who was the lead singer of SFA at that time. The issue with brinkel was not so much about there being racist skins, but him saying that Jamaicans emulated the skins, and I have never heard that one. I can appreciate the discussion of the origins, but that one didn't make any sense.

  • @NoPawn BTW are you the long haired cat that Geraldo was talking to after the infamous " Skinhead Fight" on his show with Tom Metsker"s son and his goons?

  • @NoPawn (continued) Skinhead emerged from the meshing of Jamacian Rudeboys and English individuals whose SEP(Socio Economic Position) is what one would call "working class". And yes NoPawn, the dominating theme in skinhead was not a Racist one or Nazi related. Far from it, it was simply two things: Music and Style(Ska,Ben Sherman,Levis). However, like brinkel stated, there were racist among them, whitch by no means am I implying that they rrepresented the culture as a whole. Jus a few bad apples

  • @NoPawn This comment is in regards to the discussion you had with brinkel. I wanted to say that while this topic comes up frequently among skinheads or indivuduals who show interest in the skinhead subculture, it seldomly ends with the opposing views agreeing(original skinhead & Neo Nazi) as to what the "excact" origins of skinhead are. By no means am I calling brinkel a neo nazi. From what I understand, and I think im right.

  • Fuck all these boneheads giving skinheads bad names.

  • Neos dressed as skinheads are boneheads or some shit like that, they're not real skinheads for fuck sake...

  • @MichaelHansenFUN that would be extreme right

  • @brikel first off, if u call him/her a yank one more time i might have to kick ur british or what evr ass

  • most of these were on geraldo

and the guy on the extreme left was there also...the nazi guy.
