Do you have any tips for taking photographs through a biological (backlit) microscope. I've tried (once) but the image was washed out. Great app btw!

not bad :) ..
if you could you also add a tool that would make it easier to measure individual objects on the foto it would help a lot. Also, being able to 'tag' or 'bookmark' certain objects so one could easily find them later would save a lot of time.
that would be a good start at least.. what do you think?

You can, but then you won't have any magnification info or the scale bar which is important to microscopists.
