The 29th Olympiad has officially ended in Beijing, putting politics once again at the forefront.

The US says it is disappointed the recently-concluded games did not bring more "openness and tolerance" to China.

But the International Olympic Committee argues that the Beijing Olympics would open the country up to the world.

Al Jazeera's Tony Cheng reports a mixed verdict so far.

  • The true legacy of the games will only be known once the CCP falls: transmission610 - watch it! It is not 'anti-China' to be anti the communist party. It is actually pro-china to support freedom for its people.

  • Beijing 2008!!!!!

    Worst Olympics ever!!!!

  • i love the olympics winter and summer

But here is a sport i CANT WAIT to see in the Olimpics some day

Search "Parkour Temecula" to see it for your self

  • What we see in China was a simple Propaganda Action from the CCP , and it works fantastic !

  • Beautiful.

  • $48 billion divide by 1.3 billion people comes down to about $0.12 cent a day per person.

i would say money well invested.
