Hero Worship: Black Panther

Virtually every American child grows up reading comic books. Some never outgrow it. Even Hollywood is deeply into comic heroes. So it shouldn't surprise us to find some extremely good illustrators behind our popular art. Here are some of our top illustrators and artists celebrating the first modern Black superhero, Black Panther. Numerous crime-fighters have appeared as Black Panther, from Waku, Prince of the Bantu, to the modern day hero who is also known by his birth name, T'Challa. Since his first appearance in 1966, Black Panther has moved from his fictional African nation of Wakanda to New York City. Crime in the big apple has never been the same.
