Cool. A song about my home state!
-
Somehow this reminds me of John Denver..

Like Sandra, I'm Indonesian, and my dad went to college in Boulder, Colorado. So I think I'm actually meant to know this song.

First heared it and immediately adore it ♥

Watching this song, it's no wonder Holland never wins :-)

Reemer is a Dutch name. She is of mixed blood. In colonial times Indonesia had a big "Dutch' Eurasian community called the Indo Europeans also known as the 'Indische Nederlanders' (in Dutch)
Most of them came to Holland or USA,etc. Usually they call themselves Dutch Eurasians from Indonesia or Indische Nederlanders(in Dutch) and not Indonesians.
-
Not exactly.....Sandra belongs to the Dutch-Indonesian(Eurasian)comm
unity ( in Dutch: Indische Nederlanders of Indo-Europeanen) There are more Eurasians of Indonesia in the Netherlands than real Indonesians.

Sandra is of mixed blood (Eurasian).

And all in all she didn't win but due to Israel's resign the following edition took place in Netherlands and 80s - just like 70s - in ESC started there.
To answer your question, tasosk, those triangles on her outfit are the 1980's desperately trying to break free. They knew it was 1979. It was only a matter of time for them.

This may really be the only song named after an USA state but the Portuguese participants in 1987 are named Nevada!

A really nice rock song! Not the best from The Netherlands, but very nice. It's about the joys you will find in America, therefor it's called "Colorado". I think the triangular objects on Xandra's dress (The dress was awful BTW) is suppossed to be mountains! :-P The state Colorado have alot of mountains you see! :-)
