The Great Plains region may see demand for water increase by 50% by 2090. This area currently uses 40% of its total water supply. 90% of its land is used for agriculture.

Illness:

Historically, increased hospital visits, disease and even death have been associated with unusually high temperatures.
Outbreaks of tropical diseases are expected to increase.
